Aion: Tower of Eternaty - OB

Sun Sep 13, 2009, 8:13 PM
well I just got done playing the Aion Open Beta and I have to say it was pretty good even for an Open Beta. There where some technical issues like "GameGard errors" and some minor disconnection issues but that's nothing less then what I expect of any beta especial OB. The gameplay is a lot different from what I expected from the way your skills work to the movement state boost system. If I where to compare Aion to any other MMO out there I would have to say it incorporates the best of each of the big titles and makes it a little more int interesting.

Thou I did play in the chines Client ob It was a different experience compared to the NA version. The whole under standing the community thing kinda helped thou the biggest thing I notice is that even thou the quest are some what the same there are some that are removed or altered. It still did not effect the way the game played the spawn times and drop rates seem to work well and even in beta I did not have that much of a trouble finish my gather or collecting quest. I did have trouble finishing the quest that required to find a rift and go to the other factions side of the planet. even thou I had that minor annoyance do to some social and no general location of where a rift might appear I still had fun. The PvP in the game is pretty fun in my opinion it still has the ever present higher levels attacking the lower levels but I can't complain I know I have PK'ed a few lower levels in my MMO history.

The character creation menu is one of the games greater aspects in some peoples point of view I personally like how you have such great detailed options on the way your avatar will look like in game the only drawback for me is that yes there is a great detail orientated creation of an avatar there is no option to customize the hair yes there are presets styles and color pallet choice but other then that there is no way to change the length or with of the hair. I think thou I was expecting something along the lines of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion creation options even thou Aion seems to surpass that it still lacks that little aspect but we all cant have every thing which is a good thing. Thou i had only a limited amount of time I still had fun I can't wait to play the game on Launch.
